The Province of Alberta also encourages communities to design and deliver preventative social programs that promote and enhance well-being among individuals, families and communities through Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).

The Town of Claresholm is also home to the David Lander Centre/AADAC (Alberta Alcohol Drug Abuse Centre).
